An undercover cop joins a LA gang of illegal street racers planning to double cross the LA crime king who hides his money in the Big Ass Tacos downtown.
Right off the bat, notice why it looks so familiar? Yes, this is the first spoof film based on the popular Fast and Furious film series. It was also released on the same day as fast and furious 7.
So we’ve established superfast! is a comedy, with actors and actresses that you most likely have not seen before like Shantel Wislawski, Andrea Navedo and Dale Pavinski. There is a mildly familiar face though, Joseph Julian Soria known for his role as a drug runner in the first fast and furious movie.
You have to remember this is a spoof film, so don’t go in to it expecting award winning film of the year. If you liked spoofs like vampires suck and epic movie you might enjoy this, it’s not exactly in the same league as scary movie but it’s worth a shot. Also, even though this is a fast and furious spoof don’t expect it to contain the high action scenes and amazing cars. This movie also takes hits at other celebrities, movies, as well as making fun of some stereotypes.
If the death of Paul Walker (may he rest in peace) only a little more than 16 months ago is still fresh in your memory you might not appreciate all the hits, so I would not blame you for not wanting to give it a chance.
I’ll give this movie an overall rating of 4.5 out of 10, because although it was somewhat funny it could have been funnier if it was done better. Some people seem to think if you are a fast and furious fan you’ll hate this movie, but I’m a fast and furious fan and I do not hate this movie. I enjoy movies that make fun of other movies even if I’m a fan of the original, I can take a joke. Tell me what you thought of this movie?
